Rossi and Vinales believe they shed a Yamahan one-two at Valencia

Yamaha MotoGP riders Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales believe these were on a training course for a one-two end in the Valencia Grand Prix, before Vinales crashed and the race was stopped.

Speed in the wet was an apparent weakness of the 2017-specification YZR-M1, but Yamaha produced strides for the reason that aspect this season – which enabled Rossi to battle for triumph last weekend.

Vinales had slipped back again after starting the growing season finale from pole, but while rain intensified his speed stabilized and he looked to end up being getting himself back to contention when he crashed out of fourth at the rear of Rossi.

The race was red-flagged because of conditions shortly afterwards, just as Rossi swept up with leaders Alex Rins and Andrea Dovizioso.

“EASILY didn’t fall and the competition wasn’t stopped, Rossi and I would’ve secured a twice,” Vinales suggested.
